Your Trusted Guide to Planning an Unforgettable Cruise Wedding
Welcome to Cruise Wedding Guide—the resource I wish I’d had when my partner and I were planning our own cruise wedding.
Why I Created This Site
A few years ago, we decided to get married on a cruise ship in the Caribbean. It sounded simple: book a cruise, add a wedding package, invite our favorite people, and sail off into married life. What could be easier?
Turns out, a lot harder than we expected.
We spent months trying to decode vague cruise line websites, comparing packages that seemed identical but cost thousands of dollars apart, and trying to figure out if we’d actually be legally married at the end of it all. We had questions nobody seemed to answer clearly: What’s really included in those packages? Which cruise line is actually good for weddings? How do we handle the legal requirements? What happens if bad weather cancels our port wedding?
Eventually, we figured it out. We had an incredible wedding with the ocean as our backdrop, our closest family and friends celebrating with us, and then a week-long honeymoon where we were already on vacation. It was everything we hoped for.
But the planning process? That was unnecessarily stressful.
Standing on that ship deck after our ceremony, watching the sunset with my new spouse, I kept thinking: Why was this so hard to plan? Why isn’t there a single resource that just tells the truth about what cruise weddings actually cost, what’s really involved, and what couples need to know?
That’s why I created Cruise Wedding Guide.
What Makes This Site Different
This isn’t generic advice cobbled together from cruise line marketing materials. This is real information from someone who’s actually planned and had a cruise wedding—plus insights from dozens of other couples who’ve done the same.
You’ll find:
Honest, transparent information. I tell you what things actually cost, not just the advertised package prices. I explain the legal complexity that cruise lines gloss over. I share what worked, what didn’t, and what I wish someone had told us.
Real experiences. My own cruise wedding story, plus real wedding submissions from other couples who want to share their experiences, costs, and advice. These aren’t sponsored posts or affiliate content disguised as reviews—they’re genuine stories from real people.
Practical guidance. Step-by-step planning timelines, comparison guides for different cruise lines, budget breakdowns, and answers to the questions you’re actually asking (not just the questions cruise lines want you to ask).
A supportive community. Planning a cruise wedding can feel isolating—most of your friends probably had traditional weddings and don’t understand the unique challenges. This is a place where you can learn from couples who’ve been there.

What You Can Expect
I promise you:
Authenticity. I only share information I’ve personally verified or experienced. If I don’t know something, I’ll tell you—and then I’ll help you find the answer.
Transparency. I’m upfront about costs, challenges, and trade-offs. Cruise weddings aren’t perfect for everyone, and I’ll help you figure out if it’s right for you.
No BS. I don’t use affiliate links for cruise bookings (I’m not trying to sell you a cruise). I’m not sponsored by cruise lines. This site exists to help you, not to push you toward a decision that benefits me financially.
Community focus. As this site grows, I want it to become a place where couples planning cruise weddings can connect, share experiences, and support each other.
My Background
Beyond my own cruise wedding experience, I bring a unique perspective to this resource: I have a master’s degree in digital marketing and an MBA, with specialized training in consumer behavior. I understand how wedding companies market to engaged couples, and I know how to cut through the sales pitch to give you the information you actually need to make good decisions.
But more than my education, what qualifies me to help you is simple: I’ve been exactly where you are. I’ve felt the excitement and the overwhelm. I’ve made the booking calls and asked the awkward questions. I’ve stressed about the details and celebrated when it all came together beautifully.
